Pubblico delle grandi occasioni e tanta folla  al Convegno e alla Mostra

 L’Associazione Culturale Santa Marinella Viva, il 26 agosto, su invito dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura “C.M. Lerici” di Stoccolma, ha partecipato  al Convegno “OMAGGIO A INGRID BERGMAN” ed ha allestito la mostra fotografica “Ingrid Bergman a Santa Marinella” - con le immagini esposte lo scorso maggio alla Casa del Cinema di Roma -  inaugurata alla presenza del Direttore dell’Istituto Dott.ssa Virginia Piombo, dell’Addetto Culturale dell’Ambasciata di Svezia in Italia Dott.ssa Ann-Louice Dahlgren, dell’Addetto Militare dell’Ambasciata Italiana in Svezia, del Regista Stig Björkman  autore  del film-documentario “JAG ÅR INGRID” (io sono Ingrid) - in cui la Bergman campeggia nella sua Villa di Santa Marinella – proiettato in anteprima a Stoccolma lo scorso 24 agosto, con la famiglia Rossellini al completo. Il film, accolto molto favorevolmente dalla critica, uscirà prossimamente a Roma, New York, Londra e Parigi. La Mostra resterà aperta fino al prossimo 18 settembre. L’evento è stato Patrocinato da Rai Teche, dall’Ambasciata di Svezia in Italia e dal Comune di S.Marinella.
Relatori del Convegno la Dott.ssa Piombo, il regista Stig Björkman,   la dott.ssa Elena Degrada docente di cinema dell’Università di Milano, il giornalista Rosario Tronnolone critico cinematografico di Radio Vaticana. Sono state proiettate e commentate alcune scene dei film italiani interpretati dalla Bergman per la regia di Rossellini e l’episodio del film “Siamo Donne”, girato a Santa Marinella nel 1953, in cui una brillante Ingrid Bergman esprime un meraviglioso elogio di S.Marinella, e un’intervista del 1975 di Luciano Rispoli alla Bergman, che risponde con commovente sensibilità e semplicità anche alle domande personali.

 Il regista Stig Björkman  ha raccontato l’incontro nel 2010 con Isabella Rossellini al Festival del Cinema di Berlino, la quale avvicinandosi per salutarlo gli chiese: “vogliamo fare un film su mia mamma”? Stig, non se lo fece ripetere due volte e accettò immediatamente. Il regista ha visitato i luoghi dove è stata l’attrice; e nel 2014 venne anche a S.Marinella per filmare la mitica Villa Bergman Rossellini al km. 58 della via Aurelia, e qui si incontrò con l’Associazione S.Marinella Viva. Tra le scene più belle del film-documentario ci sono le immagini di S.Marinella, e i video in Super 8,  girati nella Villa dalla stessa Bergman. La Direttrice dell’Istituto, dopo aver letto il messaggio di saluto del V.Sindaco Arch. Carlo Pisacane, evidenziando l’importanza della collaborazione tra l’associazionismo e il Comune per la riuscita di questo evento culturale, ha invitato la Presidente Sonia Signoracci a illustrare l’attività della sua Associazione e il prof. Livio Spinelli - dopo aver presentato e distribuito  la pubblicazione da lui realizzata “SANTA MARINELLA TRA ROMA E HOLLYWOOD” -  ha rivolto un invito a tutti gli svedesi presenti a  visitare Santa Marinella. Sonia Signoracci afferma: “sono rimasta letteralmente stupita e commossa dal lunghissimo e caloroso applauso con cui ci ha accolto il pubblico svedese, che ha gradito molto l’episodio del film SIAMO DONNE, mostrandosi divertito ed emozionato nel vedere questa meravigliosa attrice nella sua “normale” vita quotidiana.  Nel mio intervento ho illustrato la mostra fotografica della mia Associazione, e l’amore che la nostra città conserva ancora per Ingrid Bergman e per tutta la famiglia Rossellini. Ancora più emozionante è stata l’inaugurazione della Mostra, quando il pubblico si è riversato nelle sale, dove erano esposte le immagini di S.Marinella e della collezione privata del giornalista Tronnolone, dove siamo stati subissati di domande e curiosità dei presenti.”

La prima canzone che Bradley canta davanti ad un pubblico è Old Man River di Paul Robeson e in seguito trasforma il suo studio d’arte in un part-time-club dal nome Folkstudio, aprendolo la sera per tutti coloro che hanno voglia di cantare e di divertirsi. Di giorno Harold dipinge, di notte canta insieme al pubblico. "Harold non vorrebbe mai dormire, dice che sono ore sprecate", racconta sua moglie Hannelore. Il Folkstudio diventa un luogo d’interesse per tantissimi giovani studenti negli anni ’60, proprio perché è lì che si possono cantare e ascoltare tutti i generi di musica diversi: canzoni folk, jazz, musica spirituale, celtica, brasiliana, blues, ecc.

Bradley stesso fa il conduttore dello studio e interpreta ballate, blues, jazz, gospel e canti della lotta per i diritti civili in America. Inoltre fonda il gruppo Folkstudio Singers.

Secondo Bradley, il Folkstudio non si può definire un posto molto confortevole; ai cantanti viene servito soltanto vino caldo e popcorn, oltre a ciò, lo studio è veramente piccolo. Nonostante questi fattori la partecipazione da parte del pubblico è straordinaria, forse perché, come afferma Bradley "qui si può fare ciò che si vuole per l’amore per la musica".

Nel Folkstudio si esibiscono in quel periodo cantanti come Bob Dylan, Giovanna Marini, Pete Seeger e Ravi Shankar. Più tardi sotto la gestione di Giancarlo Cesaroni entrano in scena anche Francesco Guccini, Ernesto Bassignano, Antonello Venditti, Mimmo Locasciulli, Francesco de Gregori, Rino Gaetano, Gianni Togni, Luca Barbarossa e Sergio Caputo.

Per Harold Bradley gli anni nel Folkstudio rappresentano un periodo bellissimo. Come riporta lui stesso, in quel periodo non vuole più andare via dall’Italia perché ha una vita piena di divertimento e gli piace l’atmosfera e la gente che lo circonda.

2nd SANTA MARINELLA SHORT FILM FEST 2015 - Santa Marinella (ROME) ITALY - Tribute to Ingrid Bergman

1) Objectives

The “INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM AWARD by virtue of the film heritage of our Town since the ’20s with the divine Star Anna Fougez, and then with our fellow citizens Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman – this year we will celebrate the  centenary of the birth of Ingrid Bergman with a  tribute of some evenings - who made the world know the town of Santa Marinella, is aimed to the film literacy and addressed to promising young film directors and actors, professionals and schools, who through the expressive art form of the short film have distinguished themselves in the experimentation and innovation of the art of cinematography, caring for culture, science, sport, journeys and discoveries, human rights, childhood and youth, solidarity and meeting of new people with different culture and traditions in the Mediterranean Basin, a sea which since the ancient times bridged Europe to the other continents.

2) Venue and dates

Santa Marinella (Rome) ITALY at the Sporting Club Via Aurelia nr. 487.

The Festival will be held from 27^th July to 2nd August, 2015.

3) Short Films Registration and Fees

The entry fee is € 5,00 Euros.

Entry fee for schools is free.

The short films may last no longer than 15 minutes; however the selection committee reserves the right to admit short films of longer duration.

Copyright holders must send a DVD Pal zone 0/2.

4) Prizes

The Jury will award the following prizes:

·        Best Short Film Award: “Golden Apollo of Santa Marinella” and 500,00 € (Euros)

·        Special Jury Award:  300.00 € (Euros) and Plaque

·        School Award: 200.00 € (Euros) and Plaque

·        Audience Award: 150,00 € (Euros) and Plaque

·         Best actress Award:  Plaque

·        Award for best actor: Plaque

·        Best Director Award: Plaque

·        Best Cinematography Award: Plaque

·        Critics Award: Plaque

The members of jury have the faculty to assign to the short films a special mention.

The prizes will be awarded the last day of screenings.

As far as prize money is concerned, it will be validated only with the presence of at least one film representative during the award ceremony.  Prize money is taxable.

The Jury reserves the right to  cancel, vary, integrate awards and mentions and has the authority to suspend the prize in case the winners or their  delegates do not participate in the award ceremony. Prize money will be sent to the winners by bank transfer within 3st December 2015, subject to prior communication of the bank account details by the recipient.

Hotel accommodation and fixed lump-sum refund of the travel expenses are offered only for the final day of the Festival to Italian author and for the final two days  to foreign authors who are not resident in Italy, and only one representative for each finalist will be entitled to it, although exceptions may be considered by the Organization. Concerning the hospitality of representatives, details shall be provided at the time when the result of selection is announced.

The participants authorize the Festival Organization to process their personal data (according to the Italian law 675/96) contained in their works and complementary material. They also authorize the Festival Organization to file their work(s), in the archives of the Organization Offices, where they will be catalogued and made available by the Association SANTA MARINELLA VIVA  for any screening, event and broadcast as well shared and circulated among the cinemas, TVs, Schools and Institutes of the European Union. The participation implies full acceptance of all the above-mentioned  conditions. The These rules and regulations are available in English and Italian. In case of interpretation  problems, the Italian version must be considered.

5) Short film submissions

Deadline is  20^th  June 2015.

Short films in languages other than Italian must include English French or Italian subtitles, otherwise a complete dialogue list is required in English French or Italian.

The Festival organization is not responsible for the copyright protection regarding the work(s) presented. The author of the film must specify if he/she is in the register of SIAE or similar author society for the protection of  copyright.

6) Selection

Our staff will be responsible for the pre-selection and the final selection. The list of the short films selected will be sent by e-mail and published on our site by 15^th  July 2015. The films selected will be screened during the Festival, whose program will be published on the website by July 15th 2015. The authors of the short films selected will be informed by phone or by e-mail.

7) Festival Jury

The Festival Jury consists of members from the artistic and academic world. The Jury decision is considered to be final and unquestionable. The organizers will make the final decision in controversial cases.
